Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibers, combining them with wax and resin binders, and compressing them under heat and pressure. MDF is denser, smoother, and more uniform than particle board, making it ideal for furniture, cabinetry, molding, and decorative applications. Its surface is easy to paint or veneer, but it is less resistant to moisture compared to plywood.
