MDO (Medium Density Overlay) plywood is a specialized type of film-faced plywood known for its superior strength and durability. Unlike standard brown film, MDO uses a high-quality paper overlay that provides enhanced performance, making it significantly stronger. In fact, MDO film is approximately six times more expensive than the best imported brown film (120 g/m²).
Typically, customers request MDO to be applied only to the face of the plywood, with the back covered in imported brown film. However, plywood with MDO on both sides is also available.
MDO plywood is bonded using WBP (phenolic) glue, ensuring exceptional strength and water resistance.
This type of plywood is widely used in a variety of applications, including concrete formwork (where its durability is especially valued), furniture, signage, cabinets, and other construction and decorative uses.
