LVL door core material

LVL door core material

2022-12-28
The door core materials produced by the LVL laminated veneer lumber (also known as plywood, wood door core materials) process, LVL has insect resistant, anti-corrosion, fire resistant, waterproof and other properties, mainly due to the corresponding pretreatment or the use of special adhesives in the production process; LVL has extremely strong seismic performance and shock absorption performance, and can resist fatigue damage caused by periodic stress

Particleboard

Particleboard mainly uses wood scraps as the main raw material, which are bonded together by glue and extruded to form a certain sheet. This material is mainly cheap and easy to obtain, but its bearing capacity is poor, so its extrudability is not very good. It is not recommended to use chipboard for internal filling of normal wooden doors. This kind of door is easy to deform in case of water and does not sound insulation, so it is easy to have after-sales problems during use. However, some businesses will replace the internal core material with cheap chipboard in order to save money, so they should pay attention to purchasing brand wooden doors.

Fiberboard

It is mainly made of wood door fiber or other plant fibers, which are bonded with glue. With different densities, the compression resistance of the boards is different. However, in order to save money, many businesses produce some low-density boards, so the sound insulation effect of wooden doors is poor, and they are prone to crack or deformation problems in the later stage.

Pure solid wood panel

Pure solid wood panel is to use wood as the core material of the whole panel and add it completely. The cost of wood doors filled with pure solid wood is relatively high, the wood texture is uniform, and the load-bearing capacity is relatively strong. However, because the cost of wood doors made of this material is relatively high, and the requirements for wood door manufacturing process are also relatively high, it is relatively rare in wood doors, but it can be identified through sound and other methods in purchasing, The sound of pure solid wood door knocking is relatively dull, accompanied by a certain sense of heaviness, and the weight is relatively heavy, so it can be used as a reference standard in purchasing.

Fine core board

Thin core boards are mainly made of some composite veneers, which are mainly bonded by glue, and then processed by hot pressing process. This kind of thin core board is relatively common. The board thickness is different, and the cost is relatively cheap. However, it is easy to crack the glue in use, and the formaldehyde content is likely to exceed the standard when using glue for bonding, so it is not very environmentally friendly.

Honeycomb paper

Honeycomb paper is made according to the natural honeycomb structure principle. It is a new type of environment-friendly and energy saving material with sandwich structure, which is made by connecting corrugated base paper into numerous hollow solid regular hexagons with adhesive bonding method, forming a whole stressed part - paper core, and bonding face paper on both sides. Its advantages are light weight, less materials and low cost. But its shortcomings are also very fatal. Its anti destruction performance is poor, and it is very easy to be destroyed. Its moisture-proof property is also very poor, and it is easy to deform when affected with damp. Therefore, the service life of wooden doors with honeycomb paper as core material is generally short

Laminate:

Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is a kind of material which is made of thick veneer laminated along the grain direction, hot pressed, glued and sawn.

LVL:

LVL is the abbreviation of Laminated Veneer Lumber in English. It is a veneer made of logs by rotary cutting or planing. After drying and gluing, it is assembled according to the grain or most of the grain, and then laminated by hot pressing.

Forward plate:

The sheet is processed by laminating the veneer in the direction.

To put it simply, they are a kind of product with different names. Because the bearing strength of veneer increases after the veneer is bonded in the forward direction, it can be used for heavy weight bearing, so it is widely used in packaging boards.

In addition to the above terms, such as LVL, LVL directional board, LVL packaging board and profiled packaging board are all products of this category. The wood can be divided into: poplar directional board, pine directional board; According to the application, it can be divided into: LVL building keel, tray brace, LVL door core material, LVL line base material, LVL bed plate strip, and tray foot pier.

Production method:

The logs are rotated into specification boards, and then the specification boards are cut into veneer; After drying, evenly spray the phenolic resin adhesive on the connecting contact surface of the veneer and age it; Lay the aged veneer layer by layer, and place the carbon fiber layer between the veneer layers; Then through cold press prepressing, hot press hot pressing, final segmentation, chamfering, anti-corrosion to form LVL.

Application:

LVL forward plate is mainly used for export packaging of various packaging plants, wood products plants, especially machinery, glass, chemical products, etc. In addition, it is also widely used for container skids, building formwork components, building beams, carriage plates, furniture, floors, room decoration wooden keel, etc
